About Me
Hey Ma! Look at me! I’m on the Internet! I’m Stephanie, Steph, or Stephers as my elementary school buddies used to call me.
I’m many things, a wife, mother to a ridiculously adorable dog named Dex
(who is likely to be prominently featured on this site), graduate of York College, but perhaps most definitively I’m a Director of Marketing at a software company located in Downtown York. I say most definitively not only because most people define themselves by their jobs, but also because if my company wasn’t located centrally in Downtown York, then I likely wouldn’t have decided to start this journey of discovering central PA. But because of my job, I’ve mingled with the locals and learned a lot about the culture and experiences this area offers.
But I digress…within my job I work mainly in Internet marketing. I manage the content for our website with a focus on SEO, maintain our PPC campaigns, and execute all of our marketing efforts including tradeshow coordination. I also do online marketing consulting for a local advertising agency. Outside of my job, I stay in touch with my alma mater by participating on the SIFE business advisory board. When I attended York I was part of a team that competed in a national presentation of the projects SIFE was completing in York city, so the SIFE team mission is near and dear to me.
My other interests include writing (hence the blog people!), photography (I’ve taken 4 classes in high school and college and really enjoy setting up a composition and getting that perfect photo), home improvements, running, hiking and walking my dog.

You should really look into taking on the 365 Day Challenge — a photo a day for 365 days. I started my challenge on January 1, 2010 as a way to chronicle a year in my life through photos and short blog posts. You can check it out at http://www.365daychallenge.com.
I was just running on that rail-trail yesterday checking it out for the marathon next month… flat.. flat.. flat… which is good, good, good.
M
Yup – it’s very flat! Although I’ve heard some runners that did the Bob Potts Memorial Marathon last year say it was actually tougher because it’s so flat. They were used to training with at least moderate hills so running flat for so long worked different muscle groups.
If you’re running the marathon good luck!
Hi Steph,
