25 Days of Giving – Day 25: Christmas!
Merry Belated Christmas!
For my last Day of Giving we gave out our gifts for friends in family. In past years I’ve always liked to make thoughtful gifts for family, but this year did not allow much time for that (other than Cookie Day!). Instead, I made the effort to shop small local businesses – which proved a little more difficult this year as I no longer work downtown. But we were able to find one free weekend morning to hit up Kimmans (which I’ve written about before here and here), where we purchased Christmas ornaments and gourmet southern fried peanuts. I love how they wrap the gifts there so beautifully, which they do all year round!
Then we headed up to Lititz and went to Olio, which has an entire tasting room for olive oil and balsamic vinegars, and purchased a couple for friends and family. (Their Hickory Smoked Balsamic makes a great marinade!) And lastly we went to the Susquehanna Glass Factory in Columbia where we picked up a couple of sand etched glasses. I had never been there before and was super impressed with their quality and selection. I will definitely be heading back there for future gifts – especially for monogrammed wedding gifts!
So that was my last Day of Giving, supporting local businesses and giving them a little link love in the process. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic year!
