Scenic Wrightsville PA View: Heritage Highpoint Trail
In honor of our 4th Wedding Anniversary (which took place at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville), I thought I’d post pics I took this past fall from the Heritage Highpoint Trail. I had originally posted about this overlook a few Springs ago. It’s high atop a hill in Wrightsville that overlooks the Susquehanna.
This time I got much better pictures The trail is very short, lengthened only by the fact that the gravel path winds around the hill for a very gentle climb to the top. This is what it looks like when you get to the top:
In the background of the picture above is the Route 30 bridge. It’s what you see if you look to the left. Here’s a better view of the whole scene to the left:
If you look to the right, you can see the Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms, where we were married. It’s the building in the left of the picture.
And if you look further to right, you can see some of the big houses lining the rolling hills overlooking the water.
It was such a nice day. And we had the place to ourselves. Both times we’ve been there, we’ve pretty much had it to ourselves. Maybe not a lot of people know about it?
We’re okay with that.
